მღვდელმოწამე აბდია ეპისკოპოსი და ბენიამის დიაკონი (+418-424) წმიდა აბდია სპარსეთში მოღვაწეობდა. მაზდეანური ტაძრის დანგრევისათვის მღვდელმთავარს სპარსეთის მეფემ, იეზდიგერდ I-მა (401-402) ტაძრის აღდგენა დაავალა. წმიდა აბდიამ უარყო შემოთავაზებული წინადადება, რასაც ქრისტიანული ეკლესიის დარბევა და ქრისტიანთა დევნა მოჰყვა. პირველი მსხვერპლი თვით აბდია იყო. ხანგრძლივი წამების შემდეგ, სპარსეთის ქალაქ სუზაში წმიდა აბდიას თავი მოკვეთეს. ერთი თვის მერე აწამეს სხვა ქრისტიანებიც, მათ შორის დიაკონი ბენიამინი.
