Σύμφωνα με το Νέο Μαρτυρολόγιο, ο μάρτυρας αυτός μαρτύρησε στα Μουδανιά στις 29 Οκτωβρίου 1653 μ.Χ. Κανόνα του Αγίου, συνέγραψε ο Μελέτιος Συρίγου. Ο Otto Meinardus, αναφέρει σαν ήμερα μνήμης του νεομάρτυρα την 7η Ιανουαρίου και συγχέει τα περιστατικά του βίου του με αυτά του Αθανασίου εξ Ατταλίας, που μαρτύρησε το 1700 μ.Χ.
