Ο Άγιος Εάσιος είναι άγνωστος στον Συναξαριστή του Αγίου Νικόδημου και τα Μηναία. Η μνήμη του βρίσκεται στον Παρισινό Κώδικα 1621. Σύμφωνα με το υπόμνημα που υπάρχει εκεί, ο Άγιος Εάσιος έζησε επί Διοκλητιανού (284 - 304 μ.Χ.) και καταγγέλθηκε σαν χριστιανός στον άρχοντα Καλβησιανό. Και αφού ομολόγησε τον Χριστό, πρώτα τον έδεσαν χειροπόδαρα, έπειτα τον κρέμασαν πάνω σ' ένα ξύλο και τον έγδαραν με σιδερένια νύχια. Κατόπιν του έσπασαν τις κνήμες και τον έριξαν στη φυλακή. Στη συνέχεια, αφού τον έβγαλαν από τη φυλακή και τον βασάνισαν πάλι σκληρά, τελικά τον αποκεφάλισαν. Η βιογραφία του μάρτυρα αυτού, είναι όμοια με αυτή του μάρτυρα Εΰπλου (βλέπε 11 Αυγούστου) και καθόλου απίθανο ο Εΰπλους, από απροσεξία, να έγινε Εάσιος.
