Ο Άγιος Νισέρ ήταν άγνωστος μάρτυρας στον Συναξαριστή του Αγίου Νικοδίμου και τα έντυπα Μηνιαία. Αναγράφεται όμως στον Παρισινό Κώδικα 1621, όπου υπάρχει και μικρό βιογραφικό του σημείωμα. Σύμφωνα λοιπόν μ' αυτό, έζησε στα χρόνια του Μαξιμιανού (286 - 305 μ.Χ.) και επειδή ήταν χριστιανός, οδηγήθηκε στους Ιούλιο και Αιλιανό. Όταν ρωτήθηκε αν επιμένει στη λατρεία του Χριστού, ο Νίσερ απάντησε πως ναι, μέχρι θανάτου. Τότε τον γύμνωσαν και με πυρακτωμένα σφαιρίδια μαστίγωσαν το σώμα του, και στη συνέχεια τον φυλάκισαν. Αλλά όταν και πάλι ανακρίνεται, ομολογεί την πίστη του στον Χριστό και τότε αμέσως τον γύμνωσαν, τον έγδαραν ζωντανό και κατόπιν τον έριξαν μέσα στη φωτιά, όπου βρήκε μαρτυρικό τέλος για τη δόξα του Χριστού.
