Од тракиското село Кисани. Беше женет и имаше две ќерки. Жена му ја грабнаа Турците и ја потурчија. За да ја избави од харемот, привидно се потурчи. Кога ја избави, ја даде во женски манастир, а самиот отиде на Света Гора, прво во Лаврата, а потоа во Есфигмен. Посака да пострада маченички, како Агатангел Есфигменски и беше убиен во Едрене на 29 октомври 1820 година. Телото го фрлија во реката, а Старецот Херман му ја пренесе наметката во манастирот Есфигмен.
