Од Седумдесеттемина. На Клеопа му се јави воскреснатиот Господ на патот за Емаус. Терциј го запиша посланието на Св. апостол Павле до Римјаните (Рим. 16, 22) и заврши маченички како епископ Икониски, после апостолот Сосипатар (под 10 ноември). Свети Марко (наречен Јован: Дела 12, 12), ѝ е син на благочестивата Марија, чијшто дом им беше засолниште на апостолите и на првите христијани. Тој е и роднина на Варнава. Беше епископ во самарискиот град Аполонијада. Јуст му е син на праведниот Јосиф. Заедно со Матиј беше избиран на местото на Јуда Искариот, но не беше избран. Како епископ пострада за Евангелието во Елефтеропол. Свети Артем беше епископ во Листра Ликаонска, а се упокои мирно.
