Din dragoste faţă de Hristos acest Andrei a lepădat toată slava cea lumească, toată deşertăciunea cea goală a lumii şi s-a ascuns, necunoscut de nimeni, într-o mînăstire, unde a fost paracliser timp de treizeci de ani. El s-a săvîrşit cu pace către Domnul la anul 1390. In anul 1540 s-au descoperit sfintele lui moaşte nestricate şi făcătoare de minuni.
